Press-Switch is a game designed by Skiegh and is primarily focused on Body Swapping but with quite a numerous amount of other forms of TF and things of a similar nature. It is a Visual Novel style game which, while, on occasion will follow the typical VN format of a linear storyline, will more often than not, lead off into entirely different tangents with each decision made.
The game follows the view point of Calvin Hintre, a junior in high school who, by sheer luck, stumbles over a device capable of performing many reality defying abilities. Intrigued by the concept, Calvin and his choices pave the way on how he will use the device, who he will use them on or with and the results of his or their actions. Will he be lead to decipher the many questions that would once be forever unanswered or will he simply fall into the depths of his carnal desires? The result is up to the player.
This game let's you play around with a lot of fun concepts, but they never seem to hit the uh... climax. That said, it was definitely worth going through each of the storylines. The art is beautiful, and the characters are well-realized and generate a lot of interesting drama. Even though they're mostly terrible people. That said, that Mother-swap storyline really got to me. I don't think I've ever been more emotionally invested in porn before! The last time I hated a fictional character with such seething contempt was Professor Umbridge. I know this will likely never be finished, but... if it ever comes back. Please, please put a happy ending in there. Or kill her. Horribly. One of the two.
anyway, 2/10 as porn
6/10 for TF/TG/MC factor
10/10 for being a functional soap opera
-40000/10 because I actually cried I was so mad!
This is easily one of the best games I've found on this site. Or at least I think it will be if it keeps being made. The story and the art are both really sexy. The female character designs are some of the hottest I've seen here. I love the variety of characters, and the branching choices at least hint at some really great plot lines. I love the sadistic characters and the variety in dominance.
My only complaint - and honestly it's a big one - is the lack of sex. The whole thing is so sexually charged, but it feels like one big tease! Most of the sex scenes (and I use the term loosely) are near the beginnings of their plot branches and never really show up again.
This game has so much potential but there is work to be done. My advice is to sex it upsome more before extending the story branches. Honestly, it would be great if more of the characters were bigger perverts.
anyone know who Mika is irl? Like what anime she's from?
I like it. Hoping you'll continue development.
Another game I've just taken a look at for the first time now that I have found it up for download on somewhere other than 4Shared. And a Ren'Py game too at that, which I found to be quite good in its current release.
Playing through the game and what was available, it crashed on me a couple of times (probably a Windows 10 thing) but I got to see everything. The writing for the story is solid and the artwork is good, but the animations are limited to the usual Ren'Py fare (be realistic and don't expect a Telltale Game) but you get used to it and it doesn't affect the quality of the story being told. I did not see many of the typical transformations other than body switching and mental changes, so it is difficult for me to point out moments in the game that you'd see transformation themes as you would normally expect them to play out.
Honestly I found the sadistic nature of some of the paths very fitting for the avatar to have to deal with, but there is one pathway of particular note where it starts to creep into life stealing (think Master PC). The timed challenge sequence was a real surprise though for a Ren'Py game. But one of the possesion pathways is a very long route with no options because you're caught on two possible endings paths.
Overall between the story I was reading, the depth of the characterization to be seen so far and the music (which while it is repeating, it acceptable and fits the scenes) I was enjoying Press-Switch rather well for a beta game. Your avatar though is very short sighted with understanding cause-and-effect of their actions, but then the story wouldn't work if there weren't these breaks from reality (and hey, young adult getting caught up in the moment of power that they've found? I can believe it).
Of course I would like to see more developments for each of the story paths, but I understand that a game like this will take time and anyone who plays this game should understand that too.
