TF Gender Hacking Software (Working Title)

This is my first upload on the site. This is a very basic "game" that takes a male character and transforms it into a randomly generated female character with a new name. Currently this just a demo of what I've completed. The plot at this point is very minor, I just wanted to get a base game setup and make sure it works and this is something people might want to see more of.

Plan to add:

I plan to add more random chances of things going "wrong" where animal/Anthro TF and Pregnancy TF can occur.

Possible Expansion to the story.

Update 1.0.1

Thanks for the feedback from everyone so far. There are mixed opinions on this and I appreciate the feedback. Some people like what's been created and others do not, that's to be expected as peoples tastes are different. There's no way for me to please everyone here. It's meant to simulate a computer program so the story aspect of this "game" is minimal to focus on the program aspect of it. If the browser pop-ups annoy you or isn't your thing, I promise you I'm not changing that as it was what I found unique for twine "PC program" simulated experience.

- Fixed the issue with all of the pictures not generating properly. All pictures should now be generating. (of course let me know if they aren't)

- Updated picture pixel size to the size of the actual picture as some pictures were generating awkwardly.

I drew inspiration for this game from a game called "Gender Transform.exe" This game is considered complete by the author, but I felt more could be done with the concept and decided to make something more with the concept.

It's just the same thing as Gender Transform, but done in a story format that doesn't mesh with the theme of the game, you don't really need a setup story about someone downloading a strange .exe file when that's literally what you've just done in real life. Also the dialogue appears to be the exact same?

I made Gender Transform in literally an hour, and the coolest feature was that it used the first letter of your inputted name to generate a new female name from a list of 26 possible names, and then put that with the inputted last name to make it look like a new identity. Putting your name in this version doesn't appear to do anything, it's just a random number generator that picks a random image, which is a bit of a shame. Still, this is a fun concept.

In its current state, this is more of a simulation than a game or an interactive story.

The popups were mentioned by the author as an interesting part of twine.  They do give the feeling of a browser hit by malware.  This isn't so much twine as very basic javascript, i.e. window.alert("sometext");.

From a creative stand point, if the author is intending to go for more of a game or CYOA, those popups could be turned into embedded images and incorporated into the story.  That would help the player understand that the "game" didn't actually infect their PC too.

I'd like to have choices written into a story with added description of how the character is reacting to what is happening and some decision trees.  What happens to the character if the user chooses "cancel" or possibly tries to stop what is happening by doing a hard reset or pulling the plug out of the PC.  If something magic is happening, maybe that wouldn't stop it or maybe the character would try and perform the action but find their finger just won't click the mouse when they try and do that.  I can see a great play through experience if that is the objective.

Pictures are easy enough to find online that something with so little interaction doesn't interest me much.  Also, your Play Now button just leads to the download site.  If it isn't playable online you should just leave that blank.

Well, at present this isn't really a game. It asks you for your name, and then replaces it and gives you a random picture for your 'new you' along with a random name. There are no options, no interaction, just a bunch of irritating popups. Spit out a random cheesecake picture, and then it tells you to quit or refresh to try again. It literally only has 5 cells in Twine, compared to 23 pictures, only 6 of which can randomly spawn with the programming as it is.

This could really use a plot of some sort, or interaction, or maybe choices that affect what you are turned into instead of just a random 'here ya go'.

I was a BIG fan of the game you modeled this after, and this game is a nice successor, but I have one nitpicky detail. One of the things that made the orginal game great was that it was the program, not a story about the program. But that's simply a personal opinion
